Most of the time we can make ourselves happier just by slowing down and doing something like having a cup of tea. I'd like my artwork to contain that message.
There is an explorative aspect to Sandra Poliakov's work, one that seeks to unlock memories and emotional libraries by drawing without rigid structure and playing with colour and shape. Based in Budapest, the artist draws inspiration from travelling the world, often depicting simple life scenes through the prism of daydreams; hence the surrealist colour schemes and gently warped proportions of her art.
