Nick Barclay
Less is more.
Not only do cocktails taste great, but they are a work of art in their own right. Literally. British designer Nick Barclay proved this true when he moved to Sydney in 2009 and a bartender poured him his first Negroni (Gin, Vermouth, Campari and a slice of orange). It was love at first sip. He acquired such a taste for it, that he dedicated an entire series to the colourful cocktailiverse. Again and again his work captivates art lovers and gin drinkers alike as he shakes up the design scene with his refreshing aesthetic. His subjects of choice stretch far beyond rim of a glass. He has also applied his minimalist touch to works by the likes of Van Gogh and album covers of famous bands such as the Beatles, David Bowie and Daft Punk. Less may be more, but the sky is the limit.
