Lou Garoup
I like the directness of Polaroids - the colours, the saturation. You can't achieve that digitally.
Lou Garoup was born in Austria in 1973. In 1993 he moved to Paris where he developed and implemented interior design concepts for Maison Martin Margiela. He went on to work in New York and Amsterdam in the photography and film production industries and now thrives at the intersection of art, design and architecture in Berlin. Analogue photography is his preferred medium: to him, the textures and colours found in Polaroid pictures cannot be matched by digital techniques.
