Tapio Mömmö combines the everyday with the absurd. A graduate of Saimaa University, the Finnish visual artist’s own photographs inform his surreal oil and digital paintings. The motionless human forms spliced with everyday objects in his Pieces of Mind series are intended to induce a sense of anxiety and ambiguity in the viewer.
