Mat Voyce
It’s only when you take a step back that you realise how far you've come and that you might just have a knack for this.
English graphic designer Mat Voyce examines staggering constructs from a fascinating perspective. Be it Berlin’s TV Tower, the London Eye or Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory it is the architectural detail that lays the foundation for his illustrations. Voyce is greatly inspired by the landmarks and buildings that tower over our metropolitan cityscapes. Ever so often, his imagination takes his passion to the next level; beyond the realm of skyscrapers. Stepping onto a filmography paternoster he frequently draws subjects from his favourite movies to (re)create colour-contrasting fictional structures. The result? Unrealistic, gravity-defying, intricate works of art. With a degree in graphic design, his career thus far has taken him everywhere from freelance design to teaching art to children.
